LEWIS Capaldi has thrown The One Show into chaos after dropping two swear words before the watershed.

The Scots-born singer, 26, was appearing on the BBC teatime show to perform his No1 single Forget Me when he turned the air blue.

He first swore after being congratulated on topping the music charts with the hit.

Lewis said: “Yeah, I’m chuffed to b***ery!

“It was nerve-wracking, but it’s good to be back, amongst friends, and it’s good to be out of the house!”

Seconds later, Lewis swore again while talking to One Show host Roman Kemp about the accompanying music video for Forget Me.

It is a recreation of Wham’s 1983 video for Club Tropicana, which happened to star Roman’s mum Shirlie Kemp.

Lewis told Roman: “Your mum was in it and she looked b**** good in it, I have to say that!”

Roman begged him: “Please, please stop!”

Once a clip of Lewis’ video had aired, the singer left the main One Show stage to get ready for his live performance.

Host Alex Jones then looked at the camera and issued an apology for their guest’s bad language.

As Roman struggled to keep a straight face, Alex said: “We have got to say a quick sorry about the language. I’m sorry if anyone was offended.”

Fans were very fast to take to Twitter and share their thoughts on Lewis’ pre-watershed faux pas.

One tweeted: “#lewiscapaldi is the new Shaun Ryder, can’t be trusted on live TV without swearing.”

Another wrote: “Lewis has only been on one minute and already sworn twice.”

However, a third said: “If you got offended by whatever Lewis Capaldi said then just don’t watch TV anymore or go out. Goodness sake he didn’t say anything bad I didn’t think.”
