A RED-FACED Alex Jones sighed ‘I’m so getting fired’ after a string of embarrassing blunders on The One Show.
On Mondays programme, The One Show bosses decided to show a montage of Alex getting celebrity names wrong.
It came as actress Bel Powley spoke about working with Jennifer Aniston and how she was terrified she would call her Rachel – her character name in Friends – by accident.
As the star chatted to the hosts in the studio, Alex’s co-host Jermaine Jenas told her Alex, 45, often made the same mistake.
A montage of her blunders was then shown to viewers, leaving Alex mortified.
She said: “Oh my goodness, I’m so going to get fired” before putting her mistakes down to her age.

That wasn’t the only blunder involving Alex though, as she almost fell off her chair as she went to have a look around the new BBC News studio.
Alex was greeted by Huw Edwards and as she went to take a seat she almost came a cropper and cried: “Ohhh, sorry! Sorry! Oh gosh!”
Thankfully Huw, 60, burst out laughing before telling her: “Can I just tell you that’s not going to happen to any of my guests at 10.”
Alex joked: “What do you mean? I’m your new co-host.”

Huw said: “You are the first guest and you’ve come in with a bit of a splash I’d say but this is all about being modern.
“It’s all about making a better programme and all about telling stories in a different way and we’ve got lots of things in this studio I want to show you, which will prove it’s not as simple as some people think it is.”
The One Show airs weekdays at 7pm on BBC One.
